Flooding at Lake McAuliffe and Lake McAuliffe West solved! –Correction!!

Flooding at Lake McAuliffe West solved!

Hi All,

Years ago construction at McAuliffe collapsed the drains causing major flooding whenever we had heavy rain. New ones were installed this summer. Hopefully this will resolve any unintentional flooding in front of Nancy’s classroom and our playground.

Apparently there was a miscommunication between the original plan and what went to our  contractors. The plumbing   for Lake McAuliffe was not included. We are still looking at ways to ensure that we don’t have standing water on campus, but as it stands we can look for Lake McAuliffe, and numerous scientific experiments, after our next heavy rain.

  1. I’m all for improving the infrastructure but I will miss Lake McAuliffe!

  2. Although I am glad this is fixed, can’t we install a special system to create “Lake McAuliffe” when we want it? That day with the rainbow in the sky and all the kids playing in the water was super cool!
